How Insurance Verification Works
01
Initial Submission
For insurance funding, please submit:
-
Referral/RX for ABA from MD
-
Proof of diagnosis
-
Comprehensive diagnostic report
-
Insurance card
-
Intake and consent forms
02
Intake and Assessment
Following insurance approval for assessment, an intake and assessment will be scheduled to identify strengths and areas of necessary support through observation. Within initial assessment, parent interview will be conducted to discuss developmental history.
03
Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)
Then, an individualized behavior intervention plan (BIP) will be written. BIPs include individual and family history, targeted behaviors, and measurable goals to assess progress. This will be submitted to your insurance provider.
04
Beginning of Services
Your insurance provider will review the submitted plan and notify us of approval. Following service approval, therapy will take place at agreed upon time and location.
05
Continuation of Services
Monthly, parents and caregivers will meet with their Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for collaborative hands-on-learning. Your BCBA will discuss progress and present graphs that are used in our daily decision-making. A BIP will be rewritten every 6 months to ensure continuation of coverage.
Billing, Co-Pays & Payments
Understanding the financial side of therapy is just as important as the care itself. At Citrus Blossom Behavior, we prioritize transparency in all our billing practices. We work with families to help navigate co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs based on your specific insurance plan.
